Dialogue Between the Sheets

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. 2 Timothy 3:16a NLT

She slipped in bed next to her husband.

She stirred the silence with, “Just ask me what passage of Scripture I am having the most difficulty taking by faith, today.” It had been an exhausting day filled with sibling rivalry, teenage rebellion and extra curricular activities.

“Which one?” he asked.

“The one about children being a reward, you know  ‘arrows in the hands of a warrior, the full quiver and all that’.  Is it true, I mean for today or is it meant to be taken in the cultural and historical context of the time?

He pulled her close, his hand rising beneath the sheet,
“Let me answer your question with a question.” He interposed.

“Okay, Socrates.”, ask away.”

“Rejoice in the wife of your youth, let her breasts satisfy you at all times.’:  is that true for tonight or just in the historical context in which it was written?”

Thought: Yes-Lord, I believe Your Word is good, true and for today.  Thank you for children, teenagers and husband’s.
